Blog #1: Sketches

Image
Adornetto Sketches/Photo:  Description:     - my object avoids the uncanny valley because it isn't a show character, I envisioned the shoe as a dragon. the two flaps at the top of the laces are the eyes that create the image of the face. The laces exemplify the scales of the dragon and so does the mesh pattern. The bottle of the toes of the shoe shows the lining of the mouth of the dragon silhouette.   The Dragon would be an intimidating and scary figure with many shapes and colors to create almost an illusion. the dragon would be a loss of some sort in the game. The dragon would be part of the side of the game that is evil. The shoe is just an inspiration for the aesthetic of the character. Overall I believe I avoided the uncanny valley because the object has nothing to do with

Blog #1: Button/Door Assignment

Image
Adornetto     For my button and door assignment, I will have a button in one room to open the door that is hidden like a puzzle. And I will have another door don't the another end of the wall to close the door.  The premise of the level will be to get through the door and close it on the other side. It will be a simple level but interesting in the aspect of if you can find the button and how to find it. then to finish the level all you have to do is close the door. The level is quick and easy and will be a fun little mini game.

Blog #1 Your Idea

Adornetto Level Concept:     The level I'm designing will be a first-person shooter multiplayer map. I play lots of FPS games and would love to make a map of my own. My inspiration comes from the WW2 time in an old run-down town. But the layout of the map is simple three lanes and cross-fire spots. I've always wanted to create a simple map that was fast-paced and easy to play, and I believe my concept is just that.  The goal is to create a map that will encourage fast gameplay and accuracy to be on top. I would like to see this map one day be play and see if it is viable or not.
